Rising third-year Kate Casaday worked as an ocean lifeguard in Cape May NJ, the state’s southernmost barrier island. By the end of the summer she tallied 26 rescues, 37 victims, 4 beach emergencies, and 1 boat rescue. After a season of competing in South Jersey regional competitions and lifeguard nationals in rowing, swimming, and running, she even beat a handful of college swimmers!

Thetas talk Finance
Rising fourth-years Ashley Edwards, Emily Heaton, Maggie Zhang, Danielle Landrein, Nicole Reichert, Stephanie Tangkilisan, Victoria Baran and Andrea Bischof spent their summers working in finance. While Ashley and Emily enjoyed Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan Chase in New York city, Maggie Zhang did the same in Chicago. Nicole and Danielle spent their time at Goldman Sachs in New York in the Securities Division, while Andrea did Sales and Trading at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Victoria represented UChicago Thetas in the Debt Capital Markets Division of Credit Suisse. Speaking of Thetas on “Wall Street all over the world,” Steph represented Theta in Hong Kong doing Asset Management at Morgan Stanley!
